Prairie Art: Get your Prairie Art Board! The 2023 theme is “Prairie Footprints.” Think about who or what has touched this land.
Starting March 15, we provide a primed board to anyone in the community (while supplies last) with pick up at the Wallace House in Des Moines or the Wallace Farm near Orient. You create your work and return it to either location by Friday, May 12. Each board costs $10 and you can claim your artwork after the exhibit is over in October.. Reserve your board(s) and pay online

The Prairie Art Exhibit at the Wallace Farm runs June 1-October 1. Walk along the grassy prairie paths, around the farm pond and next to the orchard during this self-guided tour in the 9-acre restored prairie and view around 80 Prairie Art paintings created by artists of all types and ages. The exhibit is FREE and open to the public daily dawn to dusk.
