The Wallace Farm

Part of the Wallace Center of Iowa’s network, the Wallace Farm is the birthplace of Henry A. Wallace. The historic farmstead includes 40 acres of gardens, orchards and restored prairie with walking trails and outdoor art. The homestead yard is decorative and well suited for gatherings. For indoor events, there’s the Gathering Barn meeting and educational facility. In-house catering available using garden fresh ingredients from the farm. Paved road.

Adair County Fair 4-H & FFA Center

A multi-purpose meeting room with additional small meeting room and kitchen. Seats 300 banquet style and bar service is available. AV equipped. Tables and chairs onsite. Ample parking. On the north edge of Greenfield. Other sites on the Fair Grounds are for rent. These include the courtyard, gazebo, horse arena, or the grandstand and grounds.

The Gathering Place

This converted church is now operated by the Greater Greenfield Foundation. The Gathering Place has a full kitchen, sanctuary, large basement meeting room, small meeting room, and office available. The cost to use the space for civic or non-profit groups is free, for other events the Foundation accept donations.

Adair County Historical Society Heritage Center

Meeting room with kitchen inside the main museum. Also on grounds is the historic Penn Avenue Church, a popular wedding venue.

Rock Island Restored Depot

The Stuart Depot is a beautifully restored railroad depot which can be rented out for your special event. Tables and chairs provided for 60. No alcohol allowed.
